It’s been a full four weeks since our wonderful holiday in Morocco, and I am still dreaming about strolling through the souks and sleeping in the Sahara. For the inside scoop and tips on this once-in-a-lifetime holiday, head over to my previous post.

As promised, here are the pictures of our time in Morocco. I hope you enjoy!

Our riad in Fes.

Colourful alleyways in the souks of Fes.

A beautifully decorated fountain in the heart of the medina (Fes).

The best travel buddy!

Spices, spices, and then some more spices!

Many stalls sell handmade ceramics, each one beautifully painted.

The famous Blue Gate leading to the medina of Fes.

A closer look at a mosque in Fes.

Everywhere you look there is so much detail, even in something as ordinary as a door!

These mesmerising golden gates are the main entrance to the palace (Fes).

These doors are magnificent!

Exploring Volubilis, the ruins of an ancient Roman city.

A sunny selfie at Volubilis.

Somewhere between Fes and Volubilis we stopped to take pictures at this beautiful lake.

I fell in love with all the arches that form such a big part of the Moroccan architecture! I took this photo in Meknes.

The juice stands that were everywhere had Cillliers very excited!

In Chefchaouen, a little town where everything is blue.

Chefchaouen is know as the Blue Pearl of Morocco.

We bought a big blanket from this sweet man in Chefchaouen. He weaves the blankets himself – check the loom is behind us!

A carpet/rug stall in the souks of Fes.

This sweet Berber man is so proud of his leather stall! I loved chatting to the locals!

The famous leather tanneries of Fes. It looks cool, but smells horrible!

The train station in Morocco.

I got a traditional henna tattoo! As they say, “When in Rome …”

These light shops were truly magical! Cilliers reckons I was like a moth – running from one light shop to the next. (Marrakech)

Fun in the desert!

Taking on the Sahara!

One of the best experiences of my life!

Our beautiful camp we stayed at in the Sahara. Magical!

The camp “decor”.

Soaking up the sun and memories! #Bliss

Jumping for joy!
